Brows 101: Everything You Need To Know♡

Hello, today I am going to be talking about eyebrows. Eyebrows are a really important as they frame your face and can change your whole look!

Brow products!

Do you need to do anything to your eyebrows?
In short, no! Unless you would like to, you don't have to do anything to your brows at all! But here are a few tips for if you would like to fill them in or get them shaped, hope you enjoy!...

Brow tweezing, threading and shaping!
When it comes to shape, the best way to get a perfect eyebrow is to go and see a professional, they have been trained for years in getting the right shape for your face shape. I go to get mine threaded at a salon in my local shopping centre, and it costs me just £4 to get my eyebrows done!  I go about every 6 weeks, and theres really no need for plucking in between. I really recommenced getting your eyebrows threaded, as it's not too painful and involves no chemicals. But if you don't want to keep paying to get them done, once you go once then you can just maintain the perfect shape with tweezing. I recommended paying a few extra pounds for some good tweezers, you can pick them up in boots, tkmaxx and superdrug.

Filling them in!
Filling our eyebrows in can add colour, shape or tidy up your brows. The main idea is to fill in any sparse areas with little strokes that look like brow hairs. Here are some product (featured in the photo above) that you can use:

Clear Brow Gel: the most easy and fool proof option, just keeps your brows in shape without adding colour. Great for in a rush or for full brows. You can also use them after filling in your brows to set. You can pick them up for a few pounds here.

Tinted Brow Gel: Tinted brow gels keep your brows in place while adding a hint of colour. These are great for on the go or if you've just had your brows threaded and don't need to fill them in much. You can get drugstore ones like rimmel brow this way or high-end options like benefit gimmie brow.

Brow Powders: You can get brow powders individually or in kits. These are used with a small angled brush to mimic brow hairs in small short strokes. You can also use a brown eye shadow. This is great because you can just add a small hint of colour or go all out and create a whole new shape.

Gels, waxes and pomades: You can also buys brow creams which are used similarly to powder but they are easier to blend out and can sometimes look more natural. You apply them with an angled brush. You can pick one up here.

Traditional Pencils: These can be picked up for very cheap and are used to draw on brow hairs. They can be sharpened and generally come with a brow brush to blend out the product. You can pick them up here.

Wind Up Pencils: These are very similar to traditional pencils, but normally are a bit more waxy and creamy. You can pick them up here.

I don't really favour any type of brow product, I change what I use everyday, but I hope this helped you pick what you think is right for you! ,

  1. This is a great post as I have always had problems with my brows and changed around my looks over the months. I think I've used practically every type of brow product you've listed but i'm currently using a tinted brow gel like the benefit gimme brow.
